Phonics, a vital element in language education
Phonics , an often-ignored aspect of the English language has tremendous value as far as learning of the language is concerned. It is a progressive program where instruction method is through different alphabetic principles. In today’s fast-moving world our children also need to work on their lexical resource. Phonics plays a vital role in enhancing a child’s understanding of word formation and meaning. This in turn improves their vocabulary and reading skills. Children can co –relate individual sound with corresponding letter or letter group. With help of Phonics children can identify sound and decode new words easily.
